  1. This video for me, highlights how crucial it is for every little detail of the model to be considered and checked when shooting. This ranges from the slightest positioning of her hand or finger to ensuring her makeup is perfected. This is due to everything in the shot being deliberate in order to have complete creative control over the final images.

The costume used in this shoot seems to be inspired by a Hindu goddess. The colour scheme is obviously predominantly yellow which is commonly seen in illustrations of Hindu goddesses. Yellow is the color of knowledge and learning. It
symbolizes happiness, peace, meditation, competence and mental development. It is the color of spring and activates the mind. Lord Vishnu’s dress is yellow symbolizing his representation of knowledge. Lord Krishna and Ganesha also wear yellow dresses. Yellow clothes are worn and yellow food is eaten at spring festivals. Single girls wear yellow to attract a mate and keep evil spirits away.

  2. this editing process reminded me of the camoflage photographer we have seen, because of the layering of makeup and the attention to detail

  3. When you see a photo in a studio you don't tend to think how long it take to prepare a model. I have to say I'm not keen on this style but it is impressive...

  4. To me it is not very surprising of the amount of effort goes in. It's really quite spectacular that all the different areas of art, makeup, fashion and photography all come together in such a special way and work so well in harmony with one anothe

  5. This video shows that a shoot needs to consider how it will be set up. There is a large amount of detail and more will be added within photoshop. For me, i'm surprised how much effort goes into setting up a shoot for a photograph. This style could be inspirational for people who are working with fashion or who are mainly incorporating colours into their work.

  6. The shear amount of work that goes into preparation for a shoot is very impressive, what I find more impressive though is how the final image looks very different to what we say in the studio. How the colours are different and the much different feel from the bright celebration of colour to the darker detailed sense of loss that hangs over this photograph.
