  2. This video really influences me as i feel it shows us a more in depth view into the artists work. We can see more of the meaning of the work or even a fragment of the artists personality. Maybe this man is representing himself to be the type of person who steps into the background and blends in rather than wanting to be the center of attention.

  3. He hides in places that influence people and becomes a part of them so that at first glance he would not be seen. He become an on looker of the world in normal every day places in which he does his work so he can watch the cultural revolution in China from the background.

  4. I like this style of work the different backgrounds look interesting and it looks very difficult to achieve I've never seen anything like this

  5. I found his work really interesting because it is so unique and it looks at things from a different perspective as it shows how easily someone can blend into the background.

  7. i thought that his work was inspiring and interesting, how he disappeared into the background and if you looked at it from a specific angle you wouldn't of noticed he was there.

  8. I find this work interesting to watch because it gives you a different perspective on what you can open your mind up to in art and photography. I think his work is really unique and clever, it makes me want to explore into camoflauge and experiment into it.

  9. I like that he chooses to make himself blend into the background; he could easily just take an image that says something but he hides himself in the images. I like that you can hide things in your work that people don't see straight away.

  10. This type of work really influences me because it is the opposite to most things we see at the moment. Most photography is to make the model stand out and be the main focus of the image but instead it's trying to make him blend in. This is unusual but a creative technique.

  11. I like this style of photography because it is unique, another thing i like is the fact the subject in this photo has been blended into the background deliberately, a contrast to normal photographers.

  12. I think the photography in this video is inspirational as the artist has used trates of his country combined with his personality through photography. Although the model may appear to blend into the background in someways this could be seen him being an even stronger subject matter. The technique is unusual in this way and makes the photographer different to other artists.

  13. i love the combination of physical and digital editing. I also like the way he has used it to represent his culture at the moment and uses his work to show how he wants to hide and feels isolated

  14. I think this style of photography is very inspirational because he has chose to blend himself into his surroundings which is something we don't see often and it has a very abstract feel. This inspires me to incorporate his techniques as i am interested in photography that makes you think twice about what the photo means.

  15. By watching this it shows you how important the surroundings are when capturing a photograph. The main focus of this technique is not the model himself but the surroundings, so it shows the photographer has looked at the finer detail in the picture. Yeah

  16. I think this is very unique and clever. If I had just seen the picture without the video I would have thought he had just been merged into the background on Photoshop but the fact that he was physically camouflaged makes it so much more interesting.

  17. The thing that I like is that instead of just using Photoshop or something like that, they put so much passion and detail to do it all by hand! I also think that the fact that he says the magazines influence peoples thoughts, is like he wants to also influence people by doing this. I love how he uses these camouflage pictures to get his views across like when he wanted to protest! He has made me want to put more thought behind my ideas and possibly even try and include something similar in my work

  18. Watching this video has shown me that the only focus is not only the model but the background too. The model is camouflaged and i like how this is done manually instead of via photoshop and digital editing, this really influences me and makes me think that i can use this within my photography by thinking about the background aswell as the foreground. It is a very interesting technique because i like how he uses China as an influence and the issues related to his home country. This is portrayed subtly in his photographs and artwork and the viewer really has to look in depth into the photograph, 1.) to find the model and 2.) to see what the image is trying to translate to the audience.

  19. I really like how the artist has used colour and texture to disguise himself amongst the background. It really fuses photography and art together and requires great amounts of skill. The fact that he is camouflaged makes the composition interesting for each photograph as you really have to look for him each time, some harder than others! I can use my initial thoughts on colour and texture to really inspire future work, thinking about different ways of creating the same idea.

  20. This video inspires me to experiment with digital ways of camouflage, for example, leaving the camera on a stable tripod and blending the subject by taking two images (one with the subject included and one without) therefore being able to overlay the background on top of the subject to digitally achieve the painted effect. This would take less time and potentially be a more accurate match to the background

  21. I was really interested with this photographers ideas about blending the model into the background. Although, the way that the photographer places himself in ordinary situations ( e.g. standing next to a magazine stand) is also really interesting. I think he is trying to show how important the background is rather than the model within the picture.

  22. i find this intersting because of how the photographer likes to show the background more than himself but still portraying himself in the photo aswell. the way himself and the background blend in is quite unusual makeing it very creative and i would very much like to do somthing similar like this in one of my work projects.

  23. This work inspires me because i like the use of hiding yourself in your surroundings, the photographer uses this to tell the audience how making yourself disappear can make a portrait more interesting, even when that is complete destroying the point of a portrait.

  24. This idea has a lot of meaning into it bcuase it relates to the political aspects of China

  25. I like the idea of him being blended into the background, being camouflaged. I feel the magazine rack one was one of the most detailed and interesting pieces.
